RANGAMATI: The Lake District
From Chittagong, a 77km road amidst lush green fields and winding hills
will take you to Rangamati- which is a wonderful repository of scenic
splendours with flora and fauna of varied descriptions. The township is
located on the western bank of Kaptai Lake. Rangamati is a favourite
holiday resort because of its beautiful landscape, scenic beauty, lake,
colourful tribes, hanging bridge, and tribal museum. For tourists the
attractions of Rangamati are numerous - tribal life, fishing, speed boat
cruising, water skiing, bathing or merely enjoying nature as it is. It is a
rare spot for ecotourism.
BANDARBAN: The roof of Bangladesh
Ninety two km from Chittagong by road - Bandarban is the district
headquarters of the Bandarban Hill District. It is the home town of the
Bhomang Chief who is the head of the Mogh tribe. The Moghs are of Myanmar
origin and Buddhists by religion. The moghs are simple and hospitable
people. Bandarban is also the home of the Murangs who are famous for their
music and dances. Several other tribes of great interest live in the remote
areas of the district. The highest peak of Bangladesh- Tahjin dong (4632
ft) is located in the Bandarban district.

Suggestive Itinerary
Day 01: Leave Dhaka by reserved car/coach for Rangamati. It is a 6.5 hours journey from Dhaka . Transfer to the Parjatan Hotel. In the afternoon a short sightseeing tour of Rangamati will be offered. O/N at Rangamati.
Day 02: Visit some Tribal villages, Cruise on Kaptai and Subholong lake by boat. After Lunch visit Tribal Cultural Museum , Buddhist Temple , the Chakma king's palace and local made handicraft shops. Back to the Hotel by evening. O/N at Rangamati.
Day 03: After breakfast start journey to the hill district called Bandaraban. On the way to Bandarban you will see the moorang tribes village, Traditional tribe markets and golden Buddhist temple. Transfer to the Resort. After Lunch visit Chimbook Hill and a short sightseeing of Bandarban. Over night at Bandarban.
Day 04: After breakfast start journey to Chittagong . It is a 2.5 hours journey. Transfer to the Hotel in Chittagong . After an early Lunch a city sightseeing tour of Chittagong will be offered which includes Ethnological Museum , Majar of Bayejid Bostami, Chatteswary Temple and Patenga Sea Beach . Over night at Chittagong.
Day 05: After breakfast leave Chittagong for drive back to Dhaka .
