Kolkata serves as the gateway for the majority of overland travelers to India from Bangladesh. While Shiliguri for those travelling to the eastern Himalayan regions of India, i.e. Darjeeling & Sikkim and Shilong for the travelers to the Eastern part of India would be the entrance to this giant democracy of the world. Kolkata and Shiliguri would fascinate you by its hustle and bustle though similar in nature to that of Dhaka. Shilong, on the other hand, would amaze you by the degree of serenity it offers. The further you go the diverse the nature and terrain along with people you will encounter. You would never cease wondering and appreciating the view.
